31/05/07 - More Hosting Problems

Okay, perhaps not problems - more like irritations.

Firstly, I've got date issues. More

30/05/07 - I've Got Me A Server

Okay, not a whole server but a proportion of one on reseller terms.

It's not gone as smooth as I may have hoped for. More

29/05/07 - New Tag Cloud Facility

I've just been hunting around for updates to my blog software and come across some updated plugins.

Hence, I now have a tag cloud! More

28/05/07 - Email Blog Updates

You can now stay up-to-date with my work in a number of ways, the latest of which is via email. More

28/05/07 - Reseller Account One Step Closer

I am looking for a reseller account to start my mass website empire. I'm currently favouring Host Nine over in America, predominantly because the cost of web hosting over there seems to be really cheap. More

After the hoo har earlier, I have updated the prices on Compare Sat Nav and resolved the statistics issue. More

25/05/07 - Dealt A Blow

I'd racked up quite a lot of useful stats for Compare Sat Nav but as I logged on today, it went horribly wrong. More

25/05/07 - Rich Jerk News

A few people have covered this story but here's a roundup of what's going on for those not yet in the know.

Allegedly, the Rich Jerk empire is up for sale. Allegedly, this is down to financial issues. Allegedly. More

24/05/07 - POLL: It's All Too Slow

I remember a character from Bertha (TV classic!) called Mr Duncan and he used to say "It's all too slow". And that's the case here. I need to accelerate this project further.

I am further forward with it now than I was a few months ago, what with Lingerie Helper and Hotel Room UK coming online, plus a remodel of Compare Sat Nav. But I'm not getting enough traffic to grow the sites further. More

23/05/07 - Credit Where Credit Is Due?

A bit of a rant here but nevertheless, still valid.

I dropped a cookie, made a sale and will never receive the commission for it. More

22/05/07 - Snazzy Landing Pages

I've just been browsing a few forums and stumbled across and advert for Get Landing Pages.

As the name suggests, they create landing pages! Nothing really special about that but their portfolio promoted me to post this! More

22/05/07 - Remember To Include Tracking Code

I've had a few sales for Lingerie Helper but over the last week, I've had zero visitors.

I thought it was cookie sales (i.e. repeat custom over the cookie period).

Turns out I forgot to include the tracking code on the redesign. More

19/05/07 - My Travel Website

I've nearly finished Hotel Room UK, a website specialising in (well) hotel rooms!

This is my first travel site and I thought I could do with one in my portfolio! More

16/05/07 - David's Content Management System (CMS)

I've just posted a note about downtime because of changes to my broadband supply.

That means I'm going to be Internet-less for 2 weeks. Eek!

So as a precaution, I'm currently building a CMS package. More

16/05/07 - Blog Downtime Expected Over Next Month

There's a few things going on over this part of the web and over the next month, the blog may suffer from some downtime and lack of updates. There will be at least 2 weeks of no posts as I switch broadband enabled telephone numbers. More

16/05/07 - List Of Article Directories

If you've had a read through some of the Internet marketing content around the Internet, almost all of it refers to article submission. Keeping You Rich features a list of article directories but I would like to post my recommendations. More

15/05/07 - It's All Change (Again!)

This post is about me and my portfolio, not the new A4U Forum website! Whilst on that topic, it seems to now compete with sites such as BUMPzee, myBlogLog and UK Affiliate Marketing Blogroll. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing - time will tell.

Any how, back to me. More

14/05/07 - What Do Affiliates Have To Do To Get Some Decent Industry Standards?

In the Internet world, many major retailers have grasped the fact that having affiliates on board (and on their side) is a beneficial thing to all concerned. Affiliates can earn money from the merchants, who in turn proportionately earn more again from each sale.

But surely it's time to have some standards. So what do we have to do to get some industry standards in place?

What do I have in mind? More

14/05/07 - Creating Sites For A Specific Mass Market

I was reading an ebook I had heard about and it explained some important principles about building websites and marketing those. More

14/05/07 - I've Signed Up To The Digital Point Forum

I'm trying to break away from A4U Forum (incidentally, a new version should be live this afternoon) and have registered over at Digital Point.

It's a bit more restrictive than A4U, what with infractions, etc. Hopefully A4U won't go that way. We'll see! More

11/05/07 - Price Update 11/05/07

Just a quickie to say at 1433hrs, Compare Sat Nav was updated. More

10/05/07 - Website Traffic Generation

I've been going through recent posts on A4U looking for information on traffic generation. Besides link exchanges and search engine optimisation, I come to a blank when I am promoting a site. Sandis (A4U) from www.moreniche.com came up with these suggestions: More

09/05/07 - What Are Savastore PPC Affiliates Thinking?

I was just looking through my archives and remembered I made a post on how Savastore went into administration.

Well there's some PPC activity that is good and some that is just bizarre given the company folded on 7th February 2007 and today is 9th May 2007. More

09/05/07 - Website Audiences and Brands

Scoreboard Media has posted an unbelievably brilliant quote on domain name and brands:

"An audience can be developed without a brand. A brand cannot be developed without an audience."
That sums up website traffic in a nutshell. More

09/05/07 - Build A Profitable Website

Today's seminar is a reflection of the article How to Build an Affiliate Site You Can Sell for $1M by Andy.

It's probably a good idea to read the above article first to get the gist of what I'm explaining here. More

08/05/07 - Lingerie Makeover

Lingerie Helper has had a drastic makeover!

I felt the old Price Tapestry template was a bit cluttered and bland. More

Firstly, happy Star Wars day (May the Fourth [Be With You]) - it only happens once a year!

Anyhow, at around 1400hrs today, new prices and merchants appeared on Compare Sat Nav. More

03/05/07 - Now Featuring BUMPzee!

Eagle eyed spotters will have noticed the BUMPzee bar to the right hand side of this page. I'd like to be somewhat popular and have lots of friends so please add me to your friend's list on BUMPzee. My profile is at http://www.bumpzee.com/users/view/csn123/ More
