Unless you live under a rock, you'll have heard about the trouble Woolworths is in, after 99 years trading. But when you think of Woolworths, what do you think of?

Having a funny five minutes over at this part of the web and stumbled across Al Harrington's Wacky Waiving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man and his spin off, Al Harrington's Crudely Painted Not So Funny Plywood Cutout Folk Art.
Perhaps we should take a leaf out of Al's book during these uncertain times and invest (thanks to shipping errors or lawsuits) in Flailing Tube Men or a sort-of Ben and Jerry's looking cow?!

Think of exquisite crystal and think of Swarovski. Many an hour can be spent in the high street shops admiring the glistening and sparkling crystal.
To kick start this year's list (wasn't a list last year) of Christmas presents, Swarovski have kindly sent me their 2008 Christmas Ornament. Each year they release a star shaped ornament. It was certainly a nice surprise to see this, and a letter of thanks and gratitude, land on the doorstep. More

It's this experience I draw from in this post when I attempt to concoct the perfect affiliate program. More
I'm deep in amongst PHP code developing a handful of new sites as part of my strategy to focus on a smaller number of larger sites. I've built one solution and it's very god at what it does. The problem is padding the site out into a fully fledged affiliate site. There's several directions I could go in and in deciding on what to do, I came up with a few questions that may help you decide where you want to go when developing your own sites. More
