It's great to be affiliated with companies that just keep on delivering new products time and time again: people like Firebox and I Want One Of Those. Admittedly, promotion of these two has been non-existent in Fiske towers but I've got plans in the 2009 pipeline :-)

Anyhoo, whilst searching for Christmas presents for the father-in-law (to be), I stumbled across Nothing. Care of I Want One Of Those, you can buy someone Nothing! It's a cracking present idea that is particularly apt for those people that say they want nothing for Christmas :-)

Studio, the catalogue shop which suffered from some order fulfilment issues last year, has sent out a Christmas 2008 brochure on 28th May 2008.



As there's now less than 7 months to go, people must now be thinking about Christmas. More

04/03/08 - Who Owns Who? The Tale Of A Web Designer's Portfolio

Seat (the car people) have been running an advert for the Leon called "Who Owns Who?". The words read as follows:

Think about this. When you buy a car you buy a new piece of yourself. Something that's yours but not part of your body.

You buy the need to look after it, to maintain it, to use it even when you don't need to.

You buy the obligation to feed it, the job of having to clean it, the obsession of stopping people leaving beach sand in the car.

You buy the fear of losing it, of someone taking it from you.

You buy the obsession to keep it spotless, and worry about finding a safe place to park.

You buy the impulse to compare your car with other cars, but you buy it anyway. Because the best things in life are not the things you own, it's the things that own you.

24/11/07 - Christmas Starts When The Coca Cola Trucks Roll By

I'm not sure if it's just us but Christmas starts when the Coca Cola christmas truck advert is shown on TV. Last year, Coca Cola changed their advert and placed the emphasis away from the classic trucks that used to be iconic to the annuals TV adverts.

The good news is they're back this year - and I suspect it's all the negative criticism that a lot of people voiced last year.

12/11/07 - Calling All Merchants With Spare Stock !!!

The other half works in a nursery who are running a one-off fund-raising event for a Welsh charity called the Christian Lewis Trust.

The Trust helps families by providing emotional and practical support for families of children with cancer. That's the good part. Their patrons are Mel C (Spice Girls), Philip Schofield and Joe Pasquale (which is the questionable part :-D )

What I'm after

Anyhow, if any merchants have any stock they could spare to donate as raffle prizes, please email me via my contact form for my address. The value of the prize is not important and it can be stock sitting in the corner of your warehouse. Alternatively, a real world gift voucher would be welcomed. More
