Merry Christmas

Firstly, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. 'Tis the season to be jolly (apparently) so enjoy the time off work.

Secondly, all the best for the new year. As far as I am concerned, 2007 is the start of a long task of making Compare Sat Nav a household name. Whilst I have not had any sales for a few days, I will not let that slow me down.

At the moment, the first few sales appeared to be from Christmas shoppers. As we all know, online ordering closed for Christmas on or around 22nd December 2006 - hence why there has been a slowdown. I imagine there to be a slight upturn in commissions in January 2007 as more people start looking for bargains in the January sales.

At the moment, Compare Sat Nav is a baby. With 20 days under it's belt, I really did not expect to make any commission from it for around 2 months. However, I need to start SEO activities (care of Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day) and start promoting it smarter.

I need to develop link exchanges with people. I envisage creating at least 100 backlinks but I would obviously love more.

I would also like to get some publicity for the site. I bought a book a long time ago called Getting Free Publicity but I have never got round to reading it. Perhaps this will give me the advice I need to create a stir!

Also on my to-do list is to run some competitions to create a traffic stream. I would prefer a traffic flood but it is better to underestimate the power of a competition until I have run one!

So to summarise, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

(PS - Anyone looking to exchange links with Compare Sat Nav should visit the link exchange page.)
