The much talked about quality score that was rumoured to be going live has done.
I logged into my account and found I have the ability to add a new Quality Score column.
At the moment, I have one campaign running and score "Great" on all keywords which I take to mean Google is giving me the thumbs up!
Some people are suggesting that the new transparency in AdWords means that Google are heading towards a price hike. We'll have to wait and see if that is true.
Scores on paused campaigns include Great and OK. Google states that there are three scores: Great, OK and Poor. So at least I am doing something right!
If you score Poor on any keywords, Google's advice is:
"Keywords with a Poor Quality Score may need to be replaced with more specific keyword choices. If you do not want to replace poor quality keywords, you can try optimising their associated ad text and landing pages."
