Apologies for no posts yesterday. I've been busy making my voice heard about St David's day and road pricing.
I spent the majority of yesterday constructing an online DVD rental website.
It uses the Amazon ECS API and two main PHP pages.
It certainly looks like there should be more but the beauty of PHP is that once you have created a template, you can 'plug in' data and create numerous pages.
In fact, I have the same number of pages as Amazon has DVDs in it's catalogue!
My favourite part of the online DVD rental website is the first page where it has a continuously self updating DVD hot list featuring the top 10 DVDs as purchased by Amazon customers.
This is not a project site but explains not posting yesterday!
The plan for today is to crack on with my ultimate project site. As you may remember, I am changing the project's direction to see whether living and breathing one website will work.
Oh, and finally, I no longer post lectures - I post seminars. Sound fancier plus a seminar involves more interaction from participants. With a lecture, I explain what I have done or intend to do. Full stop. Seminars are the same but I encourage you to have your two pennies worth. If you have a comment, a question or a criticism about any seminar old or new, post a comment about it in the space provided on every seminar.
You can only learn by making mistakes and asking questions. If you don't make mistakes, you cannot see where you have gone wrong and if you don't ask questions, you cannot understand why you have gone wrong.

Freebies make me work harder! If you send it, I'll blog about it - unless it's rude :-)
