The lack of a post today so far (it's now 1942hrs) suggests I've been busy.
I have been working on How To Solve today plus another site I'm racing to get off the ground.
You see, I had a brainwave (just the one!).
Here's how I usually work.
- Build a site
- Launch it
- Wait for visitors to come (more often than not, they do come but very slowly and not as much as I would prefer!)
- Move onto a different idea
The major flaw with this idea is that because I lose interest, it never takes off and it never makes as much as it ought to.
I have upwards of 20 different websites. Each and every one has made some money but on varying scales. My biggest money earners are the sites over at
DBFCS (
UK Price Comparison Search and
Gift Finder).
Compare Sat Nav has the potential of being a great site but lacks visitor numbers.
Lingerie Helper (a site nearly up and running) has some novel, sticky features such as a
date reminder facility to remind you 2 weeks before your partner's birthday or your anniversary.
But the one thing that is key here is that I have not thrown my weight behind the site. I haven't pushed it in the faces of people. I have not tried to plug it here, there and everywhere.
Here's my brainwave.
How To Solve could prove to be quite a controversial website.
Advertisers may be unwilling to advertise on the site. A lack of advertisers means it is not viable for me to put lots of time or effort in to it.
BUT WAIT.
With a portfolio of niche sites, each tackling a different theme, there is scope to develop several websites that can generate money as a result of traffic from
How To Solve. Essentially, I use
How To Solve to advertise all my other sites.
Such a simple idea but I overlooked it.
It by no means replaces promoting my other sites but it should help them in turn.
