Head over to A4U Forum and you will find a seemingly inconspicuous thread about PPC. In there, there are details on how you can read some of the latest ebooks on the net for free. I won't link to it from here as strictly speaking, the ebooks are protected by copyright and shouldn't be redistributed, especially for free.
Never the less, I accidentally read a couple of the guides.
I've mentioned before that I get a lot of emails plugging books left, right and centre. The latest one has been Guru Slayer which is supposed to be ground braking stuff. It is selling for $97 (though Andrew Fox reckons it's worth $197).
What a load of pants!
Firstly, ebooks without any styling are worthless. If the author cannot put the effort in to make them a little fancy, there is obviously little effort that has gone into the content.
On that note, the content stinks. It's an ebook that name drops and is littered with affiliate links. The gist of it is sign up to an affiliate scheme and promote the product/service. Wow. That was ground breaking.
Oh, and then there's the "powerful flow chart". After all, we need a summary of the ebook. But alas, it's a flowchart with 11 nodes in it (15 at a push). A primary school child could have done better.
But Guru Slayer and you kiss goodbye to $97 hard earned cash in my opinion.
So, Guru Slayer is terrible, what about Day Job Killer?
That's a bit better. For those new to PPC, it's a good guide.
I'll admit, the style of the document isn't up to much but the content makes up for this!
I haven't read it so much as skimmed it but from what I can gather, this is a good document for people new to AdWords to start with.
There are other documents listed but I haven't got time to go into them just yet.

I'm new to all this affiliate game but why does it seem that everyone values their product (whether it's an eBook or a "system" for generating content) for the amazing sum of £197 only to incredibly slash $100 without batting an eyelid?
Maybe the first time you see it you're impressed but when EVERY landing page is formatted the same with the same price, it gets a bit boring.

@Joff - Agreed! It's either $47, $97 or $997. It must be something psychological. :-)
