It's here! I've released the new version of Compare Sat Nav.
Here's an outline of the new (dare I say it, ground breaking) features!

1 - The Logo
I now have an animated logo! The circles flash as if they are sending/receiving signals. The font has changed albeit very slightly. Told you the logo would stay more or less the same, which is unusual for me!
2 - Price Tracking
This is the daddy of the website now! Not only do I check prices but I also price track too. So, visitors can see the last 50 prices and a visual trend of what has happened to those prices. This is a feature I have yet to see on major price comparison sites let alone competing sat nav sites. As there is only two weeks worth of data in here, the trend lines won't have moved much but give it a few more weeks and the power of these graphs should be seen.
3 - Car Auctions
Another sticky feature is that I list self updating eBay auctions for cars in the UK.
4- Images
In my last post, I mentioned the lack of images. From one extreme to another, the front page now lists a randomly selected sat nav system. This updates on every reload so that every time a visitor lands on the home page, they are shown a new system.
5 - Quick Details
These tie in with the large image and given options to the visitor on whether to compare prices or track them.
6 - Top 10 Sat Nav Systems
This is an RSS feed available on every page but I have parsed it here to show the top 10 sat nav systems. These are determined by the number of people who go off to purchase particular systems. So, the more potential leads, the higher the model is ranked.
7 - The Newsletter!
This was supposed to be added three months ago. Oops!
8 - Live Traffic News
As with point 3, I am trying to build a community around the site and so now show live traffic news from the UK.
9 - Text Link Ads on the home page
I have only allowed 4 text link ads and they will all feature only on the home page (PageRank 4)
Update: Ads removed due to the inability for Text Link Ads to get it right.
Tag Cloud

Using the same principle behind the top 10 sat nav system, I have constructed a sat nav tag cloud whereby the popular models are displayed as larger, bolder text.
Still To Do
The worst bit about this upgrade is the fact that I am moving from one server to another. So, I now need to update all the old pages with 301 redirects :(
