More Hosting Problems

Okay, perhaps not problems - more like irritations.

Firstly, I've got date issues.

Because the server is over in the states, the server date is now EST (I think). So, when I port over my applications that use the date function, I'm now having to edit it to get it into GMT.

My FTP server now looks a state too. With my current host, they (kindly) hide all the unnecessary files and folders. All I can see is the cgi-bin. That's all I want to see. The new host lets me see everything which looks a bit scary!

Stats now appear to be working so that's good.

I think it's just "adjusting to change" and after a few weeks using this new host, I'll have a better opinion.

I may revisit this topic in a months time to give a better opinion on the matter.
