Just logged into Tradedoubler and found a link to contextual ads.
Here's an example set to show adverts relating to fridges:
It's far from perfect as a) it took about 10 minutes to get it to work and b) the first ad it showed was for Currys which is an expired program! However, it is in Beta which explains this.
There's functionality in the script to show either true contextual ads or ads based upon a keyword you specify. Both appeal to me as some sites I run already have keyword based adverts whereas others don't.
Certainly a good idea.
Now all we need is some bright spark to come up with a way to automatically pool adverts from multiple networks and show them contextually. Maybe that's just a dream....
