I've done it. Over a year I've considered it and today I signed up to Affiliate Window. A look through my archives and you'll soon see that I've been apprehensive about signing up.
Ross and Adam have tried their best to sign me up, answering all the questions I have ever had about them. I pushed it off time and time again but I had a relatively free day today - plenty of time to post links here, there and everywhere!
First impressions?
The interface seems OK. It's a little different to what I am used to with other networks but that's counterbalanced by familiar features.
I was surprised by the vast number of merchants on there - 619! I thought there were only a couple of hundred tops!
Applying for programs is a doddle though getting the links and banners doesn't seem to be as intuitive as I would prefer. Having said that, I'm learning as I go along and have just discovered a shortcut around something I was going to write about. D'oh!
I've already tried out the support and couldn't fault a response time of 12 minutes.
Overall, everything seems well on the other side! The support is fast and accurate, the brands are of a high calibre (unlike some networks), and the scope with the API is exciting for a code addict such as myself!
Oh, and I've heard that Affiliate Window are generous on the freebie and prize front which is good as the freebie/prize counter still stands at zero! Roll on Christmas!
Overall message, if you haven't signed up to Affiliate Window but want to work with high end brands such as B&Q, Comet, Dixons, Currys, Boden, etc., just sign up. Don't put it off for a year as there is a lot you could have done that you haven't!
