So What Have I been Up To?

There’s a million dollar question. Part of my new resolution was to spend more time building websites than posting on here. Posting about my experience as an affiliate helps my readers but unfortunately doesn’t help my bank balance. That means if I want to make money, I have to move away from posting here.

It’s a shame as I enjoy it. I enjoy getting the feedback from readers. I enjoy the fact that someone somewhere enjoys reading what I have to say.

That doesn’t answer the question though :-)

Here’s what I’ve been up to.

January

A rather slow month as it was a case of getting back into the work cycle. Nevertheless, I added a few new templates to Price Tapestry Templates. I started playing around with Compare Sat Nav too.

February

I continued with CSN releasing a new front end and a new back end. The back end is now automated and so far seems to be enjoying what it’s doing! There was a lot of work involved in getting this live and I still have to add half a dozen new merchants. Each one takes a good few hours to get right. So I only need to spend a good solid day or two on it and I can get it all sorted.

March

This month I am working on a new project. Once completed, I am hoping it will form a major part of my portfolio. I’ve only uploaded a ‘Down for Maintenance’ page and it already ranks top in Google for that term, which is good news! This is a labour intensive site and I want it launched by the end of April but that might be too ambitious as I’m also looking to launch another similar site which focuses on a specific niche in the same period. With a bit of elbow grease I’m sure it is possible.

April onwards

Once the sites above have been launched, I have a couple of other small sites I want to get up and running. Once they re live, my aim is to spend a large proportion of quarter 2 and 3 of 2008 on adding new content. Content is king once again so I’m going to produce loads of it! That’s the plan anyway!

You got a wonderful blog.. I love the way you have arranged those articles on the home page.

I agree that content is the king.. but the pain in the ass is the link development. Links are almost like queens. The more the king has the more he looks good. And the king can have a lot of fun too :)
