I did! I took some video clips too. The problem is, I was looking at the obvious things. I took the obligatory photos and videos of the hotel rooms and attractions. We went on an Orlando helicopter tour and took photos and video clips of this.
But I forgot one major thing - to take photos of the other bits and bobs. Things like shopping malls, restaurants, etc. 'm currently updating my Orlando site and now struggling to find pictures for the restaurants we visited.
So if you are reading Tania, get some pics of things that may seem dull at the time during your trip as they'll come in handy later on.
Anyhoo, here's some of the more wacky pictures we took whilst away.
Universal Studios - Forrest Gump

Outside Bubba Gump's Shrimp Restaurant, there was a suitcase and pair of shoes by a bench, which had a plaque on it that red "Hi, I'm Forrest, Forrest Gump. People call me Forrest Gump".
The only down side was that whilst you could get hold of various Forrest Gump merchandise, they didn't sell boxes of chocolates - something I would have stocked first.
Universal Studios - Squishee

We couldn't visit the Simpson's area of Universal Studios and not have a Squishee. It turns out they are Slush Puppies. Now you know.
Fire Hydrant

There's several quirks in America we don't usually see in Britain. Whilst my picture of an in-room water sprinkler (don't ask) turned out fine, there's something distinctly more American about a fire hydrant.
Lizards

Everywhere we walked, we saw these lizards dive off the pavement (sidewalk) and into the grass. We passed a few victims and tail-less lizards, a result of this living-on-the-edge attitude!
Coca Cola Trucks

A while back I said Christmas officially starts when the Coca Cola trucks advert appears on TV. Well given Coca Cola is drunken a lot in the States, it's unsurprising we saw a real Coca Cola truck. Nice nevertheless, with a slight fuzzy feeling inside!
Upside Down Building

This place is called Wonderworks. It was an incredibly popular photographic spot with other tourists so I joined in :-)
Sometimes the best photos are those that are spontaneous. Miraculously, there were no cars in the shot, even though the road was one of International Drive's busiest. I've since patted myself on the back for this one!
Tortoise

If you thought that the lizards were sporadic and haphazard, meet Bert the tortoise. Whilst waiting for the I-Ride bus outside Floridays, we noticed something moving in the grass, approaching us.
Bert, we quickly determined, lives life on the edge (perhaps all Floridian animals do?). Not content with walking up to humans, we tried to cross a 6 lane road. Luckily, he saw sense and came back. Another person waiting with us picked him up and moved him into the hedge a few metres away from the road.
Later than night, Bert reappeared. As we got off the bus, he was in the middle of the road! He did make it to the other side, thanks to the swerving by the cars approaching him. I'm not sure how long Bert will last but we'll certainly remember him, the wonder tortoise!
Cadbury's Chocolate

We popped into a Publix supermarket in search of some cheap pop and ended up British brand hunting. It's quite surprising how many British brands are over there as well as the redundant British products (e.g. Cheetos, Lucky Stars) that can be found there.
We found an "ethnic" aisle which featured British foods imported from the UK. This included a £1.50 Crunchie bar, all the way from Birmingham. A little further around, we came across Cadbury's, made in America by the Hershey company. In the name of science, we had to test it to see if it was the same. Whilst there was a slight difference, it was still passable as Cadbury's. Local M&M's are nice too :-)
Much Better Pictures
I'm in the process of updating my International Drive website with reviews, hints, tips and photos as a nice way back into this working lark. Videos will be added soon (firewire adapter currently in the post). The photos over there are more interesting by the way!
