A while back I got wind of something called the Matter box. As a freebie, I never expected to get anything. I didn't... up until a few days ago when I received an email saying mine would be delivered on Saturday. It was but I was out (typical) so it was redelivered today.

Matter is a Royal Mail venture which is certainly a great concept. In a nutshell, it's a box of goodies / samples designed to increase brand awareness and get people buying the products featured.

Furthermore, it's been designed to fit through the majority (I'm the exception to the rule) of letterboxes.

So what did I get in box 1? All this:

• A 49g bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Cranberry & Garnola (tried and tested, thumbs up!)
• 50ml Original Source Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel
• A BBC Audio CD with clips from 26 hit humour audio books
• A 60 page sample of Christian O'Connell's The Men Commandments book
• An O₂ sim card pack
• A DVD cleaning cloth ("Don't watch dirty movies" - lol) from LoveFilm
• Drinks recipes and a Roaring Fireplace DVD care of Pimms, Baileys, Bells and Gordons

It's a fantastic concept and I'm intrigued as to how they can progress without going down the same lines over and over.

Congrats to the Royal Mail for pulling this off. I look forward to many more.
