Thanks to the very kind folk over at ShinyShack for not only sending over a box of tricks but officially being the first freebie of the year :-P
ShinyShack are a gadget website (featured on Why I Need) and their product range is similar to competing websites. Prices are very competitive and postage is way cheaper than most gadget sites - all good reasons to promote them to your users!
Here's what they sent through:

There's stuff in there both as a reminder of our fantastic cruise honeymoon as well as items suited to running an affiliate marketing business.
Gin and Titonic

Having spent two weeks on the look out for icebergs, this product appeals a lot to me! Fill the tray with water, freeze and you can recreate the Titanic disaster - in a cup! Thankfully though, no ships or people are hurt each time you collide the two.
Ice Swan Mould

Throughout the cruise, any opportunity to show off an ice sculpture was definitely taken by the staff. After spending two weeks being waited upon with fabulous food in dainty arrangements, returning to the land of reality is somewhat depressing. Now, however, I can recreate the ice sculptures, care of the Ice Swan Mould! Full it with water, freeze for 24 hours and voila, an intricately carved ice sculpture. A must for dinner parties.
One Million Pound Note

Probably the closest I'll get to being a millionaire but there's nothing stopping me dreaming! Not sure where I can spend a million pound note - probably Woolworths, Zavvi and (how about a blast from the past) MVC.
TAGZ Scrolling LED Badge

If (or when) I pop along to an A4U Expo event, people will certainly point and stare at this baby! It's an LED scrolling name tag on a lanyard, ideal for events where I'd like to stand out like a sore thumb. Perhaps not a good idea to wear this for the weekly shop at Asda though.
Cyber Clean

It's a bright yellow ball of gloop. It's not your average gloop though - it's designed to clean out your technological gadgets - like your keyboard. Spread it over the keyboard and peel it off to pull up all the gunk in between the keys. Very interesting gadget - and probably quite disturbing.
The Sharp End - Cat Bottom Sharpener

Last but not least is the pencil sharpener shaped like a cat. Naturally, you pop your pencil in it's bum. When you do, it meows! A must after a stressful day ;-)
For good measure, a sachet of Popping Candy was also sent :-)
Affiliate Program
Shiny Shack run an affiliate program on Affiliate Future. You'll find them under Merchant Directory > Gifts > Gadgets & Other Gifts.
Their website is incredibly simple to use and as I mentioned above, their prices of both gadgets and delivery are among the cheapest in this sector, making them an ideal merchant to promote. They also add hundreds of new lines regularly keeping up-to-date with trends.
Standard affiliates receive 8% commission whilst cashback affiliates get 5% on orders (inc VAT, exc P&P).

This could be for a number of reasons but is most likely due to prevent the discussion from digressing.

UPDATE: The ice swan mould has proved to be a success! We froze it for 24 hours and it came out perfectly. It also remained frozen for a good couple of hours.
Apparently, the longer we freeze it, the longer it would last for. We'll try at least 48 hours next time as a test :-)
