A few weeks ago I was invited to beta test a new Wordpress plugin designed to help easyJet Holidays affiliates integrate hotel information quickly and easily into posts. The team at ODST have managed to cram a lot of useful features into the plugin so I thought it would be worthwhile showcasing some of the nifty features.
 
Easy Embedding of Content

This feature is great for new travel affiliates who are looking for some content to get started. Here, the plugin pulls information about the hotel from the easyJet Holidays (eJH) website ready for you to expand, rewrite or re-format, tailoring it to your website visitors. Experienced travel affiliates may find this a great way to start provide the foundation to an in-depth article whereas beginners may prefer to create a directory of hotels. Regardless, the feature is very handy and can provide content for a multitude of purposes.

Embedding of Listings



The plugin also creates widgets that can be embedded in the sidebar or in posts itself. The can be set to display a range of properties and can be customised to suit. These are ideal for quickly adding relevant eJH creative to your sidebar or around your posts.

Intelligent Contextual Listings



The most novel and arguably powerful feature of the plugin is the ability to embed contextual results. I'm not entirely sure at this stage how it manages it but the plugin is very capable of tailoring properties to the region you are discussing. I added a couple of paragraphs of text on Greece and the plugin successfully managed to display Greek properties. I did try and foll it and categorised the post under Spain and changed the title and slug to Benidorm but added content about Crete. Despite my cunning tactics, it wasn't having any of it and successfully displayed Crete based properties.

For me, this is a powerful feature and one I can see scope for expanding into other plugins. Perhaps one that aggregates various results from online travel agents based on the context of the post in question.
