I was fortunate enough to win a couple of gifts this Christmas and just wanted to take the opportunity to thank the respective companies as these have since been delivered.
 
Blackberry Playbook



The Blackberry Playbook is an iPad style device that is a very welcomed upgrade from my Zenithink ePad. It's got a crystal clear screen and plays HD video superbly. There are a couple of issues I'm trying to sort out such as spontaneously crashing apps and network conflicts when one or more other devices are connected to it. On the whole though it's a great little device perfect for surfing the web.

I've just heard there's a free upgrade coming next month which would make it compatible with Android apps which would expand the range of app driven content immeasurably. There should be an email client too and fingers crossed for a decent Twitter app.

Thornton's Chocolate Slab
